Digital Marketing Return on Ad Spend Calculator

Find out how much your digital advertising spend is contributing to the bottom line now.

The Return on Ad Spend (RoAS) Calculator from Seeking Perfection Marketing is designed to help you understand the return on investment from your digital advertising spend. It allows you to enter the amount spent on an ad campaign (or campaigns), the number of closed deals resulting from that campaign and the average order value of those deals, and calculate the overall revenue produced for every Pound/Euro/Dollar of digital ads spend.

Use the tool to calculate the return on ad spend from your digital marketing campaigns,

Our calculators deliberately don’t use a currency symbol as we know that businesses from all over the world will potentially use them. When making your calculations just assume that all figures are in your local currency.

To get started simply do the following:

Step 1: Enter the amount spent on a given marketing campaign, channel or channels

Step 2: Enter the number of closed deals resulting from that campaign and the average order value of those deals

Step 3: Hit Calculate to find the Return on Ad Spend

The Return on Ad Spend figure returned is the amount of revenue produced for every Pound/Euro/Dollar in ad spend. This will be useful to know when planning future budgets, and to help quantify the impact that marketing is having on the business as a whole.

Of course, we get that the path to conversion isn’t linear so this is not an exact science, and no consideration is given to the attribution of that closed deal (check out our blog post on Marketing Attribution here). However, it can be a useful tool to help you get a better understanding of the contribution that your digital advertising campaigns are making to the bottom line, or to plan your marketing budget for future campaigns.

We also have a Return on Marketing Investment Calculator if you want to include agency fees and other overheads in your calculations. There is also a Cost Per Lead Calculator that allows you to understand the average cost of acquiring a lead from any of your digital advertising channels, and a blog post Understanding Cost Per Lead in Marketing in case you need guidance on that.

We hope you found our calculator useful. If you need any input on your digital marketing strategy you can get in touch here. We would love to hear from you.
